DANCE AND BRIDGE.

A very successful dance un< 1 bridge evening was held at the c.luo house by the members of the Otahuhu Golf Club this week. There was a large attendance of members and friends. The dance hall had been attractively decorated with rose rind black streamers, and cherry blossom and fern contrasted effectively with the cream walls. The bridge players were entertained in the club rooms, where bowls of spring flowers and cheery fires lent a homelike atmosphere to tho sccr.o. The prize for tho highest score in bridge was won by Mr. S. W. House, and a spot dance was won by Miss M. Baxter and Mr. L. Key. Tho hostesses wero Miss M. Wills, who wore a frock of nut, brown georgette and coat to tone, and Miss M. Muir, in parchment, lace and georgette, with fur wrap. They were assisted by a committee comprising J Irs. A. G. Grinter, in gold tissue and lace; Mrs. F. Pollard, parma violet panne velvet; Mrs. E. F. MeNeely, floral ninon and fur coat; Miss Madge Clark, black georgette, and tangerine coatee; Miss Bertha Wyllie, floral taffeta; and Miss Hunter, old rose georgette, and bridge coat to tone. Among the guests were:—Me:-dames House, McMillan, Murdoch, Butler, Quinn, Elliott, Howard, Eccles, Feu ton, Worker, Gresham, Beard, F. Wyllie, Hamilton, Reid-Clark, Davis, Wyman, Furness, Worden, Copeland. Reid, Walters, Coker, Wain, Ilotson, Fuller, Misses W. Wyllie, P. Lipscombe. A. White, Dulce Grinter, Smith, O'Neill, Gladys McMillan, Muriel Baxter, Mollie Walker, F. Macvean, B.
