WEEK-END SPORT.
REPRESENTATIVE RUGBY. GOLF AND CYCLING EVENTS. A varied programme of sporting attractions has been arranged for tho weekend. The representative Rugby game between Waikato and Auckland at Eden Park this afternoon is expected to attract widespread interest. 'vhilo in the League and Association codes further matches of senior and reserve grades are scheduled to take place at Cnrlaw and Blandford Parks, in the Domain and on grounds across the harbour. 1
Members of the many golf clubs situ
ated within easy access of Auckland will be occupied during the week-end competing for trophies, and participating in matches between home and visiting teams. At the Auckland Golf Club the second round of the Bloomfield Bowl will be played, at Titirangi tho second round of the Ballin Cup, in addition to a teams' match versus Akarana, and the first round o? tho Elliffo Cup is to bo played off at Maungakiekie. Senior grade hockey matches will _bo played this afternoon, and a good, fast game is expected between the unbeaten Somerville team and St. Luke's. Winter competitions have been arranged by the Auckland Amateur Athletic and Cycle Club, and tho University Harriots will take part in a combined run at Fapatoctoe. The Lynndale and Calliope Harriers will hold runs of seven and eight miles, respectively. Cycling will be represented by a combined clubs' run over 23 miles from \\ estern Springs to Swanson and back, and tho Auckland Club has a race of 20 miles for the Hibburt Cup. Basketball matches between teams in senior grade A and B will bo played.
