By Telegraph—Tress Association—Copyright (Received Agril 25, 5.25 p.m.) OTTAWA, April 24

Canada and New Zealand are reported to liave signed a trado agreement, the pact having been executed on behalf of the two Dominions during the week-end.

It is understood that an official announcement of the terms of the agreement is expected within the next 43 hours, when certain arrangements have been completed. In the meantime, there is no official confirmation.

The agreement gives Canada, it is understood, considerable concessions under British preference to exports from this country, largely manufactured. The butter duty into Canada from New Zealand, it is reported, is to bo 5 cents a lb., similar to the duty on Australian butter. Imports of New Zealand wool are likely to bo on the free list under British preference. Tlie agreement is fully expected to be tabled in the House of Commons this session, and Parliament's approval probably will be given before the House rises next month.
