ACTIVITIES OF THIEVES.
HERNE BAY HOUSE ENTERED.
JEWELLERY WORTH £3O STOLEN
Jewellery valued at £SO was stolen from a house in Mercer Boad, Heme Bay, during the week-end. It is believed that the thief entered through a window. Three rooms in the house were thoroughly ransacked and there are signs that the intruder was disturbed. Tho stolen property includes two gold watches, a gold ring, two brooches,, a string of pearls, a pendant, a half-sover-eign and 14s in money. MONEY FROM FRUIT SHOP. LOSS OF £l4 REPORTED, The theft of £l4 from the fruit shop of Mar Ming Bros., 193, Symonds Street, during tho week-end has been reported to the police. It. was stated that the money was left in tho'till on Saturday night, the theft being discovered yesterday morning.
