THE WRITERS' CLUB.
The weekly meeting of 1 lie club was held on Friday afternoon and took the form of a play reading. The play <hosen was tho "The Dear Departed," and the following members took part:— Mrs. Richmond, Mrs. Brownlee, Mrs. I Joust, M isses de Montalk, Crump and ltyburn. Mrs. Spiers was the producer, and the performance was heartily applauded by the audience. Afternoon tea closed the affernooDu.
