The Daily Telegraph says there are strong reports of an impending issue by the Treasury.

The scheme for the conversion of the 5 per cent, war loans is not expected to bo launched until early in the autumn, but tho Chancellor of the Exchequer, Mr. Neville Chamberlain, probably will try the market earlier with a bond issue and utilise the proceeds for reducing tho floating debt by funding a large part of the Treasury bills outstanding. The Telegraph savs the suggested issue will not exceed £200,000,000.
