FANCY BISCUITS.
Half lb. flour butter, castor sugar, one egg, ind some jam, a pinch of ground ginger, quarter teaspoonful ground cinnamon. Sift flour, rub the butter into it, add cinnamon, ginger, and sugar, beat the egg well, add and make into a stiff paste, roll out thinly, cut into oval shapes, bake in a slow oven 15 minutes. Stick two together with jam, cover with boiled icing, half pink and half white.
