EVENTS AT CARLAW PARK.
An attractive and varied programme has been arranged for the sports caxnnf to be held at-Carlaw Park to-day in of the Auckland City Mission fun 3> Principal attractions will include fo"* wood-chopping events, in which all ® leading provincial axemen will • peting, whippet racing, tug-of-war, a hakas and dances and relay races. Two League football matches betw tho senior and reserve grades , ies lLi lively, of tho Ponsonby and Mariat Boys' Clubs, will also be played, another interesting feature will be _j play bv a contortionist.
