WAIKATO WINTER SHOW.
EDUCATIONAL EXHIBITS. DAIRY RESEARCH TESTS. [FKOM our own correspondent.] HAMILTON, Friday. An exhibit of special interest to the dairying industry will be made at the Waikato Winter Show by the authorities of Massey College. The exhibit will demonstrate by photographs of cheeses certain factors affecting the quality of New Zealand cheese. It is also the intention of the exhibitors to set up a display indicating factcr3 influencing the grade of milk, a work illustrating the activities of the Dairy Research Institute. Another exhibit will be one staged by the Waikato Pig Rocording Club. Demonstrations will be given showing the best methods of feeding pigs. A model pig enclosure with miniature feeding troughs, "creeps," and other appurtenances which will assist farmers to learn how to fatten pigs in accordanco with the club's advice will bo a feature of the display. For the first time the Auckland Farmers' Freezing Company, Limited, will be an exhibitor.
Arrangements for tho show aro well advanced, and applications for space aro coining in satisfactorily. The Women's Institute and the women's branch of tho Farmers' Union are taking space in which many exhibits of general interest will be displayed. Tho show will be formally opened on Tuesday. May 31, by "Jason," a mechanical figure that is being made by tho president, Mr. James Treloar, and will continue daily until Juno 4.
