PAPAROA.
A very successful concert was given in the Jubilee Hall at Paparoa on Tuesday by members of tho Methodist Bible Class and assisting friends. Tho Rev. H. (J. Brown presided. Tho programme included choruses by tho company, songs by Miss E. Lundgrist and Mrs. J. J. McKay, violin solos by Mr. L. Haynes, dialogues by the Bible Class ("Tho Cure" and '"J lie Dog's Lifo"), and a monologue by Mr. J). Nicholas. A playctte, "Tho Aunt from California," was another enjovablo item. This being also the anniversary of tho church, a report was given by Mr. E. Birtles, secretary, covering tho financial position and operations of the trustees. It showed much useful work dono by voluntary helpers in connection with the church and hall, also the gradual repayment of tho remainder of tho loan on tho latter. Tho report was very encouraging, considering tho hard times. The concert proceeds augmented the hall funds by £7 9s 6d.
