WOMEN'S DIVISION.
FARMERS' UNION. There was a good attendance at the annual meeting of the Te Aroha branch of tho women's division of the Farmers' Union, which was held at the Parish Hall recently. Tho president, Mrs. A. Donovan presided. The election of officers was as follows: —President, Mrs. A. Donovan, re-elected; vice-presidents, Messrs. Stewart and Waugh; lion, secretary and treasurer, Mrs. Foster; committee, Mesdnmcs Wild, Wyatt and Hair. It was stated that the library is proving very popular, many useful hooks being available for members. Pamphlets in connection with the "uso more wool campaign," were distributed among the members present and all were invited to contribute some article made from New Zealand or British wool. The market table is a feature of tho women's division which is proving very popular, and will bp, a great help to the country women. The division hopes to have a junior branch formed in the near future, and by doing so to help in making the young girl happy and content on the land. CLEVEDON. The annual meeting of the Women's Division of the Clevedon branch was held recently, Mrs. N. P. Adams presiding. There was a largo attendance and several new members were welcomed. The annual report and balance-sheet were submitted by the secretary and showed a most successful year's work. The membership now stands at 68. It was decided to hold monthly meetings during the winter period, the day being fixed for the second Friday of each month. Arrangements to assist in organising branches during April at Drurv, Htinua and Mauku were well advanced. A well-stocked "bring and buy" stall in charge of Mrs. C. Grovenor did good business, about £4 being raised for branch funds.
Speaking of the year's work, Mrs. Adams thanked all members for their splendid support and for the generous spirit displayed which had been responsible for the year's work just reviewed. Tho following officers were elected; — President, Mrs. N. P. Adams; vice-presi-dents, Mesdames Luke and Munro ; secretary and treasurer, Mrs. D. M. Bryan; advisory, Mesdames Adams, Bryan, Munro; committee, Mesdames Campbell, Driver, Eyre, Kenderdine, Moncur, Overy and Quinn. Afternoon tea was served, tho hostesses being Mesdames Chestnut, Kendordino and Munro.
OTOROHANGA. The monthly meeting of the women's division was held recently. The bring-and-buy stn 11 met with good response. After business was discussed afternoon tea was served by the hostesses. no no. At the annual meeting of the Pio Pio branch the following officers were elected : —President, Mrs. P. S. Cullen; secretary. Mrs. O'Connor; treasurer, Mrs. V. R. Smith; vice-presidents, Mesdames C. K. Wilson and L. Young; committee, Mesdames Fulcher, Lowry, Trice, CavleyAlexander, Yoyce, Furness, Hodson, Mackenzie. Miss Ida Mackenzie; advisory committee, Mrs. C. Jackson, Miss Ida Mackenzie. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded the retiring president, Mrs. G. Jackson, secretary, Miss Ida Mackenzie, and treasurer, Mrs. L. Young, 'iho delegates for this year's conference of the Women's Division, Farmers' Union, to bo held in Wellington, are:—Mrs. C. K. Wilson, Dominion vice-president; Mrs. P. S. Cullen, president Pio Pio branch; and Mrs. Cayley-Alexander.
