LATE DAME MASSEY.
AN IMPRESSIVE FUNERAL.
REPRESENTATIVE ATTENDANCE.

The funeral of the late Dame Christina Massey, widow of the Rt. Hon. W. F. Massey, took placu this morning and wag very largely attended. All members of the Cabinet were present and the House of Representatives and the Legislative Council were well represented. Represen. tatives were also present of the women's social service organisations of which Dame Massey was a member.
The service was held at St. Andrew'* Presbyterian Church, the first portion being taken by the minister, the Rev. R. J. Howie. Canon James, of St. Paul's pro-Cathedral, delivered an address in winch ho referred to the fine character of the late Dame Massey and the work she had accomplished. Large number* of -wreaths were received from all parts of the Dominion.
The interment took place at the late Mr. Massey's tomb, at Point Halswell. a brief committal service being conducted by the Rev. R. J. Howie.
