TRANSPORT REVENUE.
LOCAL BODIES' PROTEST.

It was reported at a meeting of tho Rotorua Borough Council last evening that 14 local authorities in tho Auckland Province had decided to support the council in its protest against the operation of the Transport Act in connection with revenue derived from motor vehicles plying for hire. It was decided to make representations in the matter.
