The former was also charged with the theft of goods and si.\ bicycles. Accused were stated to have" lieen caught, interfering with a telephone box :md when arrested had 62 pennies in their possession. The police stated that 40 telephone boxes had been broken open at, night, since February. The niagis!rate sentenced Arnold Haggitt to 12 months' imprisonment on the first charge, and to six months' imprisonment. for iheit, the sentences to be cumulative. I he other accused was remanded pending a report bv the probation o/licer.
