BADMINTON.
VICTORIA CLUB'S YEAR. A very healthy position was disclosed by the balance-sheet presented nt the annual meeting of th« Victoria Badminton Club. The president, Dr. E. P. Spencer, outlined the activities for the past season, the initial one for the club. It was decided that next Tuesday would be the opening night. The following officers were elected:—President. Dr. E. P. Spc.nccr; secretary, Mr. J. R. McCrystal; committee. Messrs. G. 11. Philson. j. P. "VYildman; F. Gregory. PAIIXELL CLUB'S OFFICERS. Tho annual meeting of the Pavnell Badminton Club was held last evening, Mr. A. C. Jacob presiding. In moving the adoption of the report and balance-sheet tho chairman congratulated members cm the strong financial position of tho club and referred to tho splendid work of the lion, secretary, Mr. D. G. Macfarlane. The opening night was fixed for to-morrow week. The election of officers resulted as follows President, Mr. E. Tonka; hon. secretary and treasurer,' Mr. D. G. Macfarlane; committee, Misses K. Waters, A. Elicit, and Messrs. E. "W. Griffiths, .T. Southon and A. C. Jacob.
