The following officers were elected Mrs. J. Storey, secretary. Mrs. Gaughan. assistant secretary, and Mrs. Robson, second'vice-president. Music and supper concluded the evening. The final meeting of the St. John's Women's Guild for 1931-32 was held in the schoolroom yesterday afternoon. The room was decorated with flowers and foliage and' presented a very bright appearance. The president, Mrs. George Frost, presided, and a musical programme, arranged by Mrs. De Berg, was given. It consisted of pianoforte solos by Mrs. K. Reed, solos and duets by 1S - P e Berg Mrs. Don. Brown and Miss Claire Brown. Two very fine elocutionary items, •' The Last Token" and " Uncle's Bulldog," were rendered by Miss Amy Neale, and a talk on " Influence" was given by Mrs. W. W. Avery. Mrs. Averv. who is president of the Methodist Missionary Auxiliary, stressed the influence women have and urged that it. should at all times be used to uplift and help, not to hinder. Many old friends were among the guests and helped to make the afternoon a success. The Tea Committee served a delicious tea." A very enjoyable afternoon tea was given bv Mr. and Mrs. S. N. /mian at Dilkusha. Cambridge. m honour of their guests, Sir !• rancis and Lady Wylie. of England, who were .staying the week-end with them. The day was perfect and as Uigathering was a large one, those who wished were able to wander around the carden. Mrs. Ziman received her guests in a brown floral marocain frock.
