POPULARITY OF TRAMPING.

CLUBS IN CHRISTCHURCH. Tramping as a pastime has certainly "caught on" in Christ church, for thirteen dubs wish to join the newly-formed association of tramping clubs. Rules and a constitution havo been drawn up, and at a further meeting of the association oflicers will be elected. Tramping clubs have been formed at Christ's College'and Boys' High School, and others are under formation by the Canterbury Collego Women's Association and the Girls' High School Old Girls' Association. The tramping association has sponsored a hostel scheme for trampers, and this has evidently proved an inducement, for club formation. Trampers ore already considering walks on the Banks Peninsula under this scheme.
