MOTOR-CYCLE RACES.
FAST TIMES AT MANGERE. RESULTS OF THE EVENTS. Some fast times were accomplished by riders at tho North Shore Motor-Cycle Club's successful meeting; at Henning's Speedway, Mangere, on Saturday afternoon. The races were generally speedier than at tho last meeting. Laps were covered by R. E. Vinall on a 350 c.c. Velocelto in 575, A. Lemon on a, 500 c.c. Sunbeam in G1 4-ss, and "W. Marctt on a U.S.A. with side-car in tiS 2-s*. IT) an attempt on tho track record, \ inall did a lap m 54 3-ss. An attempt to heat the track record for motor-cars, 59a. was made bv Mr. George Smith, driving Hi. 11. Butcher's Iviley. Be covered laps m 61 J-ss, 60 33s and 61 l-ss. Results were:— Open Handicap, four laps.—L. Sowerby (Velocette), 21s, J; L. Terry (Royal Enfield J, 20s, 2; C. Palmer (Velocette). 2Ss. 3. Time, 5m 25 2-ss. 350 c.c. Scratch Race, four laps.—A.
