Most oil tho horses engaged at the Hastings meeting on Saturday galloped this morning. Goshawk, looking very much improved, ran a mile, covering tho hist six furlongs in 1.21. Hunting Cry, with Kapallo ns a companion. raced over six furlongs on the course proper in 1.175, doing it very comfortably. Bapallo shaped well. • I'llia was the best gallop »f the mornin™. Statuary and Shrewd went ijEven furlongs, the la-st six in 1.19. This was also a fair gallop, Statuary pleasing. Mala hat. Imperial Fame and l'rimax worked separately on tho plough and crass at three-nuartei pace. Llandudno worked steadily over a couple of rounds on Ihc inside grass. He will most likely start on Saturday, although lie is a bit. son?. Manuiri worked a couple of round;! on the inside grass, mcving freely. Gold Ruler and Gold Mas dashed over five furlongs in 1.4, Gold Mag shaping well. It was a fair gallop. Speed, carrying a fair weight, got to tho end of five furlongs in a tick under 1.4. It was a good gallop. Princess 801 l and Margaret Pose, both carrying light weights, did a similar I;isk in 1.4.
