THAMES FIRE BRIGADE.

DISTRIBUTION OF HONOURS. [l-'ROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.] THAMES, Friday. The annual meeting of the Thames Fire Brigade was held 1 last- evening. Superintendent Alexander presided. The following officers were elected:—• Superintendent, Mr. L. Alexander; deputy-superintendent, Mr. A. Fleming; foremen, Messrs. E. Kenny and F. Wilton; secretary, Mr. C. Scott; treasurer, Mr. J. Pratt*; librarians, Messrs. F. Wilton and A. Lomas; surgeon, ..Dr. J. B. Liggins. At a social function held after the meeting the following honours were presented:—Foreman Kenny, gold bar (27 years' service); Fireman Jenkin. gold bar *(29 years' service); Fireman R. Do veil, silver bar (17 years' service): Fireman Griffin, silver bar (13 years' service). Dr. Liggins was presented with a framed photograph of the brigade as a mark of its appreciation of his services.:
