CATARRH—ITS CAUSES.

It may result from disease of the bones ®f the nose, from changes in the lining membrane duo to shrinking or congestion, from the pushing to one side of the septum which separates ihe two nostrils Growths like polvpi arc coruiuoii causes and so also are adenoids, enlarged tonsils snd sonieMiries an injury to the nose It is obvious, therefore, that the same turn will not do for all. Some cases Improve with a douche made from five {[rains eai li of soda bicarbonate, borax, and salt lo an ounce, of water. Others do hotter with a greasy or oily preparation. .Many require minor operative treatment.
