FRUIT AND FLOWERS. Hat pins arc not tho only novel touch on tho new hats. At. a show given the luit-]>in was revived. Hut it is not of tho " skewer " variety. Tho new pins look like nails. Ordinary darning wool, common packing straw, liarly-N ictorian wax fruits and flowers, and waxed ribbons, were among the amazing materials and trimmings used for some of the smartest hats. The darning wool, interwoven with tho finest horse-hair, was used for a brimmed model turned up at tho back with a tiny cluster of wax peaches of the type which our grand-parents used to keep under a glass case. The designer had the packing straw bleached to a soft whiteness and woven into a lace of which a debutante's shady hat was made.
