DOUBT AND CYNICISM.
TRUE FAITH AND ROMANCE. The world is so full of doubt and cynicism, so obsessed with troubles and problems tliaj, a touch of true faith and romance arrives by way of relief. It is pleasant to know tiiat. there is somebody fond enough of somebody else to forego hereditary riches and honours—to become in fact an exile in the cause of love. The British public will take if as a compliment, that Prince Lennart of Sweden has chosen to visit England with the lady of his choice. Hans Andersen himself could not have written a prettier or a truer story than the romance of this royal personage and the 'laughter of a clerk. Kcgal convention in Sweden frowned upon the match, but love was stronger than the prerogative of kings. Come what will, Prince Lennart is determined to marry the girl of his choice, and there is nofc a lover in the whole world who will nnt applaud his decision and wish him well, states a London journal. The toast of the day is to Lennart of Sweden and Karin Nissvandl. May they long be happy.
