A TRADE CAMPAIGN.
BUTTER TO BRITAIN. WOMEN'S INSTITUTES' WORK. The New Zealand Women's Institutes have always manifested their desire to do their utmost to assist their country and Empire in its trade campaign. Cue of their efforts in this direction is to popularise the sale of New Zealand produds in Great Britain. The latest scheme in this connection is to distribute New Zealand butter throughout the length and breadth of England, Scotland and Wales l,v rneans of the institute "links." These " link's" it may be well to explain, are overseas institutes which carry on a correspondence with institutes in this countrv. Speaking of the work of the New Zealand InM it lit es "in their latest effort, Mr. T. C. Brash, secretary of the Dairy Board, makes the following comment: " We arc naturally deeply interested in the efforts that your institutes are making In pi.ipulari.ie the sale of New Zealand produce." Next month each New Zealand Women's Institute will semi the name and address n f jls particular " link" (or " links ), together with the price of the quantity of butter to be sent, to the Dairy Produce Hoard which will arrange for its delivery ,n Britain, accompanied with particulars of the. dairy industry in this country. In addition the. usual letters will go from the institutes here to the British ' links explaining the gifts and so introducing into something like, a million households from .J"hn o'Croats to Land's End one oi New Zealand's chief sources of revenue.
