MISCHIEF BY YOUTHS.
STONES THROWN AT CHINESE. A charge of throwing stones to (lie clangor of the public was jointly preferred against two youths, Ernest Smith and Jack Pollock, in the. Police Court yesterday. They pleaded not guilty. Evideneo was given thai on tho night of February 13 accused and two other youths threw stones at, a Chinese in Grey's Avenue. Tho Chinese gave chase, with the result that accused were detained by tho police. A fine of 10s and costs, 15s 3d, was imposed on each offender by the magistrate, Mr. F. K. Hunt.
