MISSION LAUNCHES.

CRAFT FOR THE SOLOMONS. SHIPMENT BY SOUTHERN CROSS. Two motor-launches for use by missionaries in the Solomon Islands, which have recently been completed by W. G. Lowe and Son, Limited, will form part of the cargo of the mis.von steamer Southern Cross, which is due to sail from Auckland on Monday. Both launches are stoutly constructed and will be used by mission workers for travelling between the many islands in the Solomons. The larger, which is 26ft. by Bft. beam, is for native preachers nt tncher] to the Melanesian Mission. The other boat, a 14-footer, has been built to the private order of a white missionary who will use it for travelling among the islands off the coast of Malaitn.
