The annual report of tho New Zealand Rugby Union says the working expenses for the year show an excess of expenditure over receipts of ±'s6. It points out there are a number of items not likeLv to recur. A donntion of £550 was given to the Hawke's Bay Relief Fund, and a grant to tho Hawse's Bay Rugby Union of £492 for the rehabilitation of grounds. The tour of the Australian team resulted in a profit of £953, and th» North v. South Island came £622. The .Prince of Wales Cup resulted in a loss of £335, and the tour of the Maori team for the Seddon Shield cost tho union, £1285. Loans were granted to tho following unions during the year:—Auckland, £3500, in addition to the existing loan of £1600; Otaso, £2500; Wanganui. £SO, being part of tho £I9OO sanctioned, and in addition to the existing loan of £600; Canterbury. £4OOO. in addition to the existing loan of £J0O0: West. Coast, £3100; Manawatu, .£1500; Southland, £500; Bush Districts, £250. Loans were approved but were not finalised to tho following:—Wairarapa, £2500; King Country, £600; North Auckland. £1500; Golden Bay-Motu-eka, £6OO. The While Star Football Club, Pukekolie. has received additional players through the disbanding of the United. Club, which found that it did not have sufficient active members this year to warrant continuing. The following officers have been elected: — Patron, Mr. F. Perkins; president, Mr. H. The report presented at the annual meeting of the; Waipa Rugby Union last evening showed that, tho senior representative team had won all six games for the Finlay Cup. scoring 108 points to 23. The finances were slightly improved, the general fund standing at £37, and the insurance fund at £'s7, in spite of lower gate receipts. The election of officers resulted:—Patrons, Messrs. C. G. The appointment of selectors was referred to the management committee, and it was decided that thero be a sole selector for each grade. The management Committee was asked to apply to the Domain Board for two flnodlights- in Albert Park so as to enable evening practices to be arranged. .THE ROTORUA UNION. The question of whether the senior grade should be eliminated this season was discussed at the annual meeting of tho Rolorua Rugby Union last evening. J'ho meeting decided to retain tho grade, but to reduce tho junior weight limit to list. 101b. Tho meeting decided to adopt the now scniin formation this season.
