His Excellency said:—' By the death of my old friend Sir Horace Plunkett the world has lost, its most far-sighted and constructive agriculturalist. New Zealand, among other countries, lias profited greatly by his economic wisdom and will join the Mother Country and his own much loved native land in mourning his loss."
