RAIN MARS WEEK-END. DOME VALLEY ROAD IMPASSABLE The promise of a fine holiday -week-end shown by the bright sunshine on Saturday morning was not realised, and steady rain in the evening and again yesterday morning spoilt the vacation for a number of people. Owing to the showerr yesterday morning, there were not re any motorists on the roads leading from the city in the afternoon when the weather temporarily cleared, while the number of picnickers and excursionists was reduced. The fine morning on Saturday drew most people out of doors, and the beaches were well crowded, while sporting an J athletic attractions drew good patronage.Tho day remained fine for the most oart, f ! . but clouds gathered in the middle of tns afternoon, and steady rain commenced to fall in tho -evening, continuing until noon yesterday.
