CONDITIONS IN THE SOUTH. Auckland.—The weather was change*, able and wet during (ho week-end, when a light breeze was blowing ; from '' l9 north-east-. Saturday morning was iina and sunny, but cloudy conditions in tha afternoon wero followed by light rain i» the evening until after mid-day restore day. Rain fell again last evening. Wellington.—The weather during th# week-end was mainly line, but overcast* with some sunshine, both on Saturday; and yesterday. Light rain fell on Saturnday, but not for long. The wind remained southerly. Temperatures v,evai cool. Christchurch.—Tim weather was gloriously lino during the week-end. Saturday was warm and windless, and at nigh there was a light frost. Yesterday th® weather was mild and clear, with bright sunshine. t oj Dunedin. —Bright sunshine and moderate breeze from the north-easv prevailed in Dunedin on Saturday, * l , weather was gloriously fine yesterday with a cloudless sky and a light 130 » east wind. Hie barometer was steady V 30.48 in.
