BRIDGE PARTY SANDWICHES.
Sandwiches for the bridge party look jvery much more interesting and amusing if they are stamped out in the shape of Icarts, spades and so on. Brown bread should be used for the Spades and clubs, and delicious and unnsual fillings can be made in the followinc payTako half a dozen oysters—or more, according to the number of sandwiches required —and cut or pound them with a little lemon juice and a dash of cayenne pepper. Cut fairly thin slices of brown bread, butter generously and spread with the oysters, cover with another slice of buttered bread, and stamp into shape. Anchovy Toast Sandwiches.—Toast some .very thin slices of white bread, and allow to go cold, then butter on each side and spread each side with anchovy paste, and place between thin slices of buttered brown bread. For the hearts and diamonds, white bread should be used and a pink coloured filling.
