The Companies Amendment Rill, which provides that ordinary shareholders are not to dispose of assets v. ithout. the consent of preference shareholders, was allowed to stand over in the Legislative Council after a petition praying for its modification hurl lieen presented and counsel heard at the liar of the House on hehalf of Messrs.
