SWIMMING RECORD.

ACHIEVEMENT OF G. BRIDSON. NEW FIGURES FOR 150 YARDS. Another notable triumph was scored by G. Bridson, the 100 yards and 220 yards New Zealand champion, last evening, when he made a special attempt to lower his New Zealand 150 yards record of lm 33 l-ss, at the Auckland Primary Schools' championship meeting in the Tepid Baths. He succeeded in setting new figures of lm 3i 2-ss. Ihis is a most meritorious time as it was also an improvement of 3-5s on the Australian record established by R. Grier, of Queensland, on March 8, 1928. Bridson, who was ably paced over the first hundred yards by R, Frankham, registered the following sectional times:— 33 1-3 yards, 16s; 66 2-3 yards, 38s; 100 yards. 57 4-ss.
