WOMEN'S DIVISION.

FARMERS' UNION. The quarterly meeting of tho South Auckland Provincial Council of tho Women's Division of the Farmers' Union was held in Hamilton this week, the president presiding. Members present were Mesdames Ju dd, W. 11. Allen-Bell, Wynyard, Ryburn, Godfrey, Walker, Joiner, Marx, Minehin, Allen, Older, Campbell, Feistt, Pegler, Drink water. Darby, llaycroft, and Miss Marshall. It was decided that the Women's Division of the Farmers' Union should make an earnest effort to further the " Use More Wool " campaign, and that it should have a stall at the forthcoming winter show. A schedule committee was decided upon, with Mrs. Judd, of Hamilton, as convener, the presidents of each branch to arrange for one of its members to be on the committee and to attend any meetings that is necessary. A competition for Women's Division of the Farmers' Union members only will lie held, the prizes to be donated according to its funds by each branch. Iho articles shown can be sold it members wish. Owing to the pressure of " housekeeping work " it was decided that paid help be obtained, Mrs. W. H. Allen agreeing to make all arrangements. MO R KIN SVILLE. The Morrinsville branch of the Women's Division of the Farmers' Union met recently. The president, Mrs. A. 1. Walker, presided. The president referred to the proposed junior membership and asked all present to promote this promising branch. She also referred to the use of laminated wool in place of kapok. By its use wool growers would lie assisted and the sum sent out of the country for imported kapok would be reduced. In reply to a request from the Blind Institute, it was decided to take charge of a stall at the Morrinsville show. A resolution was passed according support to the movement to buy British goods and resolving to urge all friends to support iho movement. The Tauhei members were hostesses for the day. Mrs. N. W 7 . Hastings gave a song. A competition for a prize presented by Mrs. Hastings was won by Mrs. Wyatt. During tho afternoon Mrs. A. 11. J. Wyatt, who has been one of the most active members of tho division, was farowelled and presented with a bouquet on behalf of tho branch. Regret was expressed at Mrs. Wyatt's departure, and congratulations were offered on her husband's promotion.
