GUIDES' ASSOCIATION.

A meeting of the combined committees of tho Auckland districts was held at tho Dominion headquarters of the Girl Guide Association on Wednesday afternoon. There was an attendance of over forty, and several new members wero enrolled. Miss Knight, Divisional Commissioner for Auckland West, presided, and after tho ordinary business had been transacted, introduced tho new Divisional Commissioner for Auckland East, Miss Merle Smeeton Tho latter had a very interesting story to tell of her visit to various camps and training centres during her stay in Great Britain. Miss Knight proposed a vote of thanks to Miss Smeeton which was carried by acclamation.
