MEMORIAL AT SCHOOL.

LATE MR. J. W. WALSH. ("FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT. 1 HAMILTON", Friday. A memorial shield to the late Mr. J. W. Walsh, first chairman of the committee of the .Forest Lake primary school, near Hamilton, and for many years an energetic worker in the interests of'the district, has been placed in the school hall. The unveiling ceremony was performed by the Mayor, Dr. F. D. Pinfold, in the presence of a large gathering. Mr. Walsh, whose death occurred about a year ago, settled in the district in 1905 and was one of those primarily responsible for the founding of the school.
