WAIMAUKU.
A most enjoyable time was spent, by a number of parishioners of St. Martin's Memorial Church, Waimauku, at a garden party given on Thursday afternoon by Mv. and Mrs. Tlieo. Kerr-Taylor, at their residence, Waikoukou Valley. Keen rivalry was shown by the participants in the quoits competition, while the efforts of the visitors in trying to knock a pipe from a very realistic " Aunt Sally" caused much fun and merriment. A stall decorated in two shades of mauve was arrange.! by the ladies' social committee of the church. A sucking pig was won by Mrs. S. Walker, who redonated it for the purpose of raising more funds. An embroidered toilet set was won by Mrs. N. Wilson. Afternoon tea was served irt the dining and drawing rooms and on the spacious verandah. At the close of the function the vicar, the Rev. R. Hill Johnson, thanked Mr. and Mrs. KerrTaylor for their generosity in giving the use of their house and gardens and for their untiring efforts in making the afternoon such a success. All present joined in giving three hearty cheers for ( their host and hostess, and in singing " For They Are Jolly Good Fellows." Among those present were:—Mesdames Theo. Kerr-Taylor, R.
