STEER-RIDING MISHAP.

YOUTH KICKED ON HEAD.

CONDITION NOT SERIOUS.

Concussion and head injuries were suffered by Donald Phillip Stead, aged 19, of 63, Kensington Avenue, Mount Eden, while he was faking part in the steer-riding competition at the Auckland Agricultural and Pastoral Association's Summer Show at Epsom on Saturday afternoon. The young man was thrown from a steer and was kicked on the head by the animal. He was removed to the Auckland Hospital by the St. John Ambulance, his condition being regarded as not serious.
