TAKAPUNA GRAMMAR SCHOOL CRUMP BREAKS THREE RECORDS. The annual swimming sports of Taka.puna Grammar School were held yesterday in tho Calliope Dock at Devonport. Tho girls' events were held in tho morning and tho boys' events in the afternoon. Noel Crump, Dominion intermediate champion, won the school championship, breaking thj'ee records. A swimming carnival was held last evening. C. McC'onvill'j . (Canterbury), in an unofficial attempt on the New Zealand 60 yards record of 2i'> 3-.55, swum the distance in l-ss. In tho 100 yards junior girls' race, Joan Walls (Westporl) established a time of 71 3-ss. which beats the New Zealand record, held by Miss Kainey, by 0 2 ss. FARMERS' TRADING CLUB. DECLARATION OF HANDICAPS. The Farmers' Trading Company's Swimming Club will hold a carnival in the Tepid Baths next, Tuesday. An attractive programme of events has been arranged, and in addition to the inter-department competition for the Chamberlain Cup Auckland's leading swimmers will be engaged in open events. G. Bridson will endeavour to break the New Zealand 500 metres record and Miss Judith Webster will attack the New Zealand intermediate girls' 75yds. breast-stroke record. An exhibition of diving will be given by members of the Ponsonby Swimming Club, while numerous novelty events are included on the programme.
