TAMAKI CLUB'S EVENTS. DAVIS CUP COMPETITORS. The 'L'amaki Yacht Club will hold a race around Rangitoto and Motutapu, finishing at Matiiitm, this afternoon. The prize is a silver cup, to l>c won outright, presented by Mr. Ernest Davis, patron of the club. (.'ash prizes for second and third boats will lie achled.
Tho race will start, off the_ Kobim&rama Wharf at 3 p.m. The course is from starting line, between wharf and mark boat moored north, round Bastion light beacon (starboard), thence round Rangitoto and Motutapu to finishing line at the entrance to Matiatia Bay, 11} nautical miles. OnlyBean Rock and Rangitoto Beacon are to be observed as fairway marks. The entries arc:—Starloch. Celox. Awatere. Valeria, Komuri. Rakoa, Mane, Vaiuua. Otira, Venus nnd Wnirere. As the boats will not be handicapped until this afternoon, additional post entries will be taken up to 2.50 p.m. on Kohimarama Wharf.
M Class.—A race for the M class will lie hold, fifrirlilig af, 3.10 p.m. The course is from starting line, oft Kohimararoa. Wharf, round Bastion light beacon (starboard), thence round Bran Rock (starboard). thenco round mark off St. Hellers Bay twice round. Entries :—MRnerie, Maroro, Manu, Mawhiti, Mernutu and Maratea. The officers for the day are Starter, Mr. W. A. Wilkinson; timekeeper, Mr. J. Allison; judge. Mr. S. Nicholas. Mr. F. D. Pidgeon will take the times for the cruising race at Matiatia. rOWRR .BOAT ASSOCIATION. Owing to the weather conditions prevailing last. Saturday the speed-boat races of the Power Boat Association wero cancelled. To-day a cruisirifr rneo will be held, starting off the King's harf and finishing at Palm Beach. Waiheke. if the weallier is favourable, or at Ostend if unfavourable. OTAHUHU SAILING CLUB. The Ofahuhu Sailing Club will hold a racfi this afternoon from Ibo clubhouse to Buckland's Beach, starting at, 2.15 p.m. The boats competing are Surprise. Aurora. Wayward. Wyoming. Valrose. bpendnft, Ventura. Rival. Tui, Waitea. Ben Machroe. Omaki, Sea Sprite and Kahiri 11. POINT CHEVALIER CLUB. The Point Chevalier Sailing Club will hold a general handicap for the Spiers Cup over Ihe usual courso at the week-end. The race will start at 11 a.m. and entries will be received until that time. The club has nominated Delphine for the Jrevic Shield contest on Maroh 12.
RAN'GIRIRI regatta. ANNUAL. EVENT POSTPONED. The regatta which was to have heen held on the Waikato River at Rangiriri to-day has been postponed until next Saturday. An attractive programme has been arranged, including outboard motor-boat races, swimming contests. Maori canoe events and Highland dancing.
