LOOSE METAL ON ROADS.

Sir, —It was gratifying to me, and no doubt to thousands of motorists, to read in the press that the Auckland Automobile Association has decided to endeavour to get the trouble of loose metal 011 roads remedied. This endorses my contention that loose metal on roads is dangerous to motorists and a frequent cause of fatal accidents. Sealing or binding such metal to minimise danger is as necessary to the policy of "Safety First as is carefulness by drivers. F. J. Dawson.
