SEARCH FOR SALESMEN.

Sir, —Many salesmen, both employed and otherwise, must have, been much interested in the news article which appeared in Wednesday's Herald under the above title. There are two sides to most questions, and one is given to wonder as to the nature of these two separate business concerns for which no new salesmen can bo induced to act, when such exceptionally good terms of salary (in the form of commission), viz., £6-£lO per week, and moro tail bo obtained. One finds it difficult to swallow the information, when there are hundreds of young and middle-aged commercial travellers in the Auckland district, possessing excel, lent records of selling ability, who would, in these exceptionally difficult times of depression, very gladly avail themselves of any opportunity of earning even £4 a week. There are many commercial travellers of proved ability today who have been forced to obtain cars, and even then, after endless and untiring work, cannot obtain sufficient return, by way of commission, to proviuc sustenance for themselves and families.
