DOWNPOUR AT OPOTIKI.
DRAPERY SHOP FLOODED. STOCK CONSIDERABLY DAMAGED. [BY XEr.EGR.VrH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] OPOTIKI, Wednesday. Damage estimated at £IOO was done to the drapery stock of Mr. A. Stephenson, Church Street, last night by torrential rain. Water found its way through the roof and flooded the premises. The noise of the rain caused a pictuie entertainment to be suspended temporarily. Rain also caused the lower portion of the verandah in front of King s Theatre to collapse. The weather is beautifully fine to-day.
