SWIM ACROSS LAKE.

MOKOIA TO ROTORUA. Mr. Frederic Ansel!, who has already twice swum from Mokoia Island to the Rotorua wharf and once from Hamurana to the wharf, again swam on Tuesday from Mokoia to Rotorua. He accomplished the journey, using the breaststroke, in 2h 12m 35 4-ss. This swim constitutes a semi-official record, as it was done, under the supervision of a representative of the South Auckland Swimming Centre. Mr. E. T. Johnson accompanied the swimmer in a boat and took the time.
