WHEAT OIL VALUES.
CLAIM BY NEW ZEALANDER. OPINION OF EXPERT. ' LONDON, Dec. 4. Dr. Norman Haire, formerly of Sydney and now of London, a well-known authority on eugenics and rejuvenation, states that the value of a Christchurch doctor's claim to have discovered wheatoil capable of remedying debility and childlessness depends on the presence of a vitamin with rejuvenating properties. Such a vitamin is already recognised in wholemeal bread, which has been long prescribed for cases where vitality and fertility are low. He says that the discovery may be important in permitting larger quantities of this vitamin to be taken in concentrated form, obviating the necessity for eating several loaves. It is not likely to supersede the Voronoff and Steinach glandular treatments, as the latter give wider and more sustained effects.
