ORDINATION SERVICE.

CEREMONY IN ST. MARY'S. ONE PRIEST AND TWO DEACONS. An ordination service was held in St. Mary's Cathedral yesterday morning, the Primate, Archbishop Averill, officiating. The \Rev. B. C. D. Palmer, assistant curate of Hbly Trinity parish, Otahuhu, ■was admitted to the priesthood, and Messrs. H. Fallows and Paki Tipene, students at St. John's College, Tamaki, ■were ordained deacons. There -was a large congregation, Canon ft. H. Hobday, vicar of St. Columba parish, Grey Lynn, being the preacher. Other assisting clergy were Canon W Fancourt, vicar of the cathedral parish, and the Rev. R. J. Stanton, vicar of Holy Trinity parish, Otahuhu. Mr. Fallows' first appointment will be that of assistant curate in All Saints' parish, Ponsonby. The other new deacon, Mr. Tipene, will serve with Canon W. Keretene in Maori missionary work in the .Wliangarei district.
