WEEK-END ACCIDENTS.
TWO CYCLISTS INJURED. ADMISSION TO HOSPITAL. Fractures of the left leg and left arm were received by Donald Stronach, aged 12, of Castor Bay, Milford, as a result of a collision between the bicycle he was riding and a stationary motor-truck in Sea' View Pioad, Milford, on Saturday morning. The truck, owned by a fruiterer, was parked at the roadside, and the boy's machine collided heavily with it, throwing the rider on the roadway. He was taken to the Auckland Hospital in a motor-car. A motor-cyclist, Mr. Bert Basil Nestor, aged 53, married, received a fracture of the right thigh through striking the kerb at the intersection of Manukau and Ranfurly Roads' yesterday afternoon. Mr. Nestor, who resides at 28, Schofield Street, Grey Lynn, swerved to avoid a motor-car emerging from Ranfurly Road West, but his machine hit the kerb before he could straighten up. He was taken to the Auckland Hospital by the St. John Ambulance. Suffering from a fracture of the left arm and shock, Mr. Thomas McGrath, aged 40, of 15, Princes Street, Avondale, was admitted to the Auckland Hospital yesterday afternoon, ft is believed that Mr. McGrath was knocked down by a motor-car.
