Katli Judd.—l am sure yon will be sorry to leave your old home, but beauty is everywhere, and no doubt you will find many tilings to give you pleasure in your new home when you go there. Billy Davey.—Stories from juniors are not criticised, as a rule, but since you ask for an opinion I will give one. " Over tho Alps " is not up to publication standard, it has no plot, nor originality of treatment. There are also several mistakes in spelling. Ailsa Clark.-—lt will be all right aboutthe competition entries, so don't cnll brother any more hard names! Doris Hill.—The beauty of the garden must have been a great pleasure to you during your illness, Doris. I hope you are well into the convalescent stage now, and able to wander about in your lovely garden. Bathia Luttrell.—l will remember your card when I go through the entries, but try not to make a similar mistake again. Nellie Garratt.—Do s r ou really mean to say you have a Sweet William eight feet in circumference with a five-foot diameter? ■lf so, I think something ought to be done about it! Or do you mean inches? Many suggestions for new " Corners " have been received lately for our page, but I like yours the best of any, and will introduce it. Many thanks. Marie Blomfield.—No, Marie, I am quite sure my garden will not suffer (he sad fate of yours, so long as I am able to look after it. I get up at half past five each morning, and do quite a lot of work before breakfast. No "slacking" is permitted in a garden! The little poem is quite good, and if you will draw me a. pretty little shamrock border for it, I will use it. Use either Indian ink or black and white wash. Remember always to sign name and address on any item submitted. Covering letters are not kept. Keith Rowsell.—" Tho Hen's Lament " and sketch are good as an amateur effort, but not quite up to publcation standard. Marjorie —The doll-dressing contest is announced to-day.
