LATER CALLED TO OPERATE. UNABLE TO SAVE LIFE. CHICAGO. Nov. 3. Miss Jnuc Casey, ngr<! 17, went motoring with three college boys, and did not get homo until daylight this morning. Her father, Dr. Casey, met the party and slapped his daughter's face. Then he tired a revolver toward the retreating car. The boys found that one of their number was dying, and rushed him to hospital. There the nurses, unaware of the history of the case, telephoned to the same Dr. Casey, who shortly arrived and operated hurriedly, but was unable to save the iad's life. Hours later ho realised what had occurred, and surrendered to the police.
