CONDITIONS IN THE SOUTH. Auckland.—After light rain during the early morning, the weather cleared.. Bright sunshine and humid conditions, with light breeze from the north-east, prevailed until evening, when a further light fain set in. The barometer was high and showed practically no movement, the reading last evening being 30.30 in. Wellington.—Glorious summer weather prevailed yesterday with a light wind from the north. Christchurch. —Fine, but cloudy weather ruled with a variable breeze. The thermometer registered 65 degrees. The barometer was practically steady at 30.18 in.
